Witness describes panic inside Kroger during shooting

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — We’re learning more about the shooting at Kroger on N. Clinton, including the name of the man left in critical condition.

“Duck back behind something and try to be safe. And hope that you weren’t going to come face to face with whoever had that weapon,” Jim Shovlin says.
He says and his wife were just a few aisles away when a man shot and critically wounded another shopper inside the North Clinton Kroger just off Coliseum Wednesday night.
Witnesses say a man confronted 46-year-old James Walker, Jr. near the meat department, then fired three shots, hitting him in the leg and arm.
At last report, Walker was in critical condition.
