ST. LOUIS, Missouri (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – What’s the best way to boost spirits during a tough hockey season?
Well, the St. Louis Blues invited a golden labrador puppy to join them on the ice after practice Thursday.
Meet Barclay, a 5-month-old pup that the Blues front office adopted from Duo, an organization that trains and places service dogs, in order to socialize them.
As you can see, Barclay is pretty good with both the stick and the puck.
The Blues bring Barclay to the office and home games to get him used to being around people.
He’ll get four to six months of intensive training from Duo, and when Barclay is 18 months old and fully trained, he’ll find the best fit for him as a service dog.
