Son of Noble County Sheriff dies in car wreck

NOBLE COUNTY, Ind.  (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – The son of the Noble County Sheriff was killed after his car went off the road and crashed into a tree Thursday evening.

Just before 7 p.m. Thursday, someone called 911 to report a car that had went off the road in the 10000 Block of CR 415 North and had crashed into a tree.

Several departments and emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the driver – later identified as 30-year-old Andrew D. Harp – dead inside.

Andrew Harp is the son of Noble County Sheriff Douglas A. Harp and retired Noble County Sheriff’s Department Matron Renee Harp.

The Indiana State Police are investigating the crash.
