Local Halloween events 2018

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (Fort Wayne’s NBC) — Fort Wayne and surrounding areas are ready for Halloween and trick-or-treaters with free, family-friendly events.

The City of Fort Wayne has announced that the official trick-or-treating hours are from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. See a list of other towns’ trick-or-treating dates and hours here.

Here is a list of trick-or-treat events happening around town:

“Inside the Ivy” Trick-or-Treat @ South Side High School – 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Please come and join the fun. Positive experience for kids and families. Safe, warm, fun, games, thriller dancer, monster bash dance, lots of candy and games.

Headless Horseman, Trick-or-Treating @ Jefferson Pointe – 5-7 p.m.
The Headless Horseman will ride horseback throughout Jefferson Pointe Shopping Center, passing out treats for the kids. Participating stores will display a pumpkin on their door and will be passing out candy. Select merchants will display a skeleton bone on their door to identify themselves as a store giving away pet treats! All pets must remain on a leash. More information here.

Trick-or-treat @ Georgetown Square – 5:30-7:30 p.m.
Georgetown Square hosts its 46th Annual Trick-or-treat event, with a costume contest in front of Georgetown Library from 6-7:30 p.m. 12 prizes will be awarded to costume winners from Georgetown businesses. There will also be live music from 6-7 p.m., with a Community Band playing in front of Ziffles Rib Bar. Biggby Coffee will be having a  Family Dance Party & Costume Contest Awards in front of their store, across from the library.

Community Trunk-or-Treat @ Trinity Church of the Nazarene – 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Great Pumpkin Party @ STAR Care Services – 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Trick-Or-Treat Downtown Auburn @ Auburn Historic District – 4-6 p.m.
