Snider Panthers prepare for Must See Match-Up against Wayne

FORT WAYNE (Fort Wayne’s NBC) – Dwenger might be the top team in the Summit Athletic Conference right now, but Wayne and Snider aren’t ready to give up their dreams of capturing the conference crown just yet.

The Generals and Panthers come into their week six head-to-head match-up just one game back of the Saints in the SAC standings, so both teams understand if they lose this game their hopes of winning the conference title will go out the window.

“With both of us having one loss, it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion that a two loss team isn’t going to win [the conference],” said Snider head coach Kurt Tippman. “For each of us it’s kind of like a championship game atmosphere.”

After losing to Carroll earlier this season, the Panthers have played well recently and they believe they carry their recent momentum into this must see match-up.

“We’ve been practicing all week and practicing all season to beat these athletic guys (on Wayne),” said Panthers quarterback Jon Barnes. “We’re prepared and we just have to watch film and know what they’re going to do and beat them to it.”

Fort Wayne’s NBC plans to have highlights from the Snider at Wayne Must See Match-Up and the four other SAC games Friday night during their 11:00 PM newscast.
